I am Catalan and Spanish.

I grew up with a feeling that I was part of closed-minded culture.

London and its queer community made me realise there was a world where I could feel more myself.

Queerness is central to me and to my company.  To me, queerness is about community and a safe space to be yourself. It’s not about wanting to be different from the norm, but actually feeling out of the norm and needing a family that supports that and makes you thrive and be proud of who you are.

When I discovered flamenco’s queer history, I was able to reconnect with my culture.

I set up Eric Longa to foster an environment of allyship and solidarity, to bring people together and feel they can belong.
